PTs Coffee + Hazel Hill Collaboration Chocolate Bar
This limited edition 71% cacao coffee infused chocolate bar is the result of a collaboration with Topeka-based chocolate maker Hazel Hill Chocolate and PT's Coffee Roasting Co. They've selected Guatemalan single origin Don Angel washed coffee and Laguna Lachuá cacao for this bar.
The Don Angel coffee is from Vides58, a third-generation producer operating a growing network of farms in Huehuetenango, Guatemala. This washed lot comes from the recent additions to these family of farms purchased in 2017 from Angel de Leon. This special roast highlights the Almond Brittle, Clementine unique to this direct trade coffee.
The Laguna Lachuá is a large pristine cenote lake in northern Guatemala. The “Eco-region surrounding the Laguna Lachuá” is home to Q’eqchi’ Maya families, many of whom live off grid and rely on production of cacao, honey, cardamom, corn and other crops for their livelihoods. The finished chocolate from this direct trade, organic cacao, brings a mocha flavor with lemon and tart cherry notes.
